In Defense of the Tea Party Movement…

Dale Robertson, founder of TeaParty.org

Who said this? Glenn Beck? Laura Ingraham? (answer at bottom)

Most Tea Partiers believe that we in America have the right to preserve our heritage, language, and culture, just as every nation has that human right. The vast majority of Tea Party activists oppose affirmative action and diversity, which are nothing more than programs of racist discrimination against white people. The vast majority of Tea Party enthusiasts despise Hollywood and the mass media.

You know, the unelected media bosses have far more power than any senator or congressman, and are far more alien to America than the British were at the time of the American Revolution. At least the British were of our own, Christian cultural heritage, while the non-Christian ethno-religious minority who dominates Hollywood sees itself as very distinct from the 98 percent of the rest of us.

Tea Party activists are true populists who see the powers that control international finance and the Federal Reserve as the biggest threats to American prosperity and freedom.

Attn Mark Cole: DoD Implanting Microchips in “Vaginal-Rectum” Areas

Send Del. Mark Cole to Georgia…. ASAP. The Mark of the Beast is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality.

TPM:

“Ma’am, did you say you have a microchip?” state Rep. Tom Weldon (R) asked the woman.

“Yes, I do. This microchip was put in my vaginal-rectum area,” she replied.

No one laughed. State Rep. Wendell Willard (R), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, asked her who had implanted the chip.

“The Department of Defense,” she said.

Willard thanked the woman for her input, and the committee later approved the bill.

No one laughed.

If you want to know the GOP platform, you can save time by Googling some combination of: “Conspiracy” “Obama” “Tea Party” or “Beck”.

Happy Confederate History Month

Southern California native George Allen finally made it to the big screen in the 2003 film 'Gods and Generals'

“Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition.”
– Vice President of the Confederacy, Alexander Hamilton Stephens

Stephens was considered a “moderate” among secessionists and was known for his generosity and intellect. His “Cornerstone Speech” was delivered in 1861 soon after he was elected Vice-President of the Confederate States of America and co-authored the government’s constitution.

Thanks Stephen C.!

Think Crabill Can’t Beat Wittman? Think Again.

If you’re a Democrat hoping to knock off Rep. Rob Wittman in the 1st Congressional District this November, news of Catherine Crabill jumping into the race definitely got your attention. An active member of her local ‘Tea Party’ outfit, I know for a fact that Crabill was seriously considering running as a third party candidate instead of a Republican. That would’ve made things a lot easier for the eventual Democratic nominee, whether it’s Krystal Ball or Scott Robinson.

Well, based on her recent statements, it now appears that she will in fact challenge Wittman for the GOP nomination, even thought she’s aware of Virginia’s sore loser law. That’s bad news for Democrats then, since Rob Wittman should have no problem beating crazy ol’ Catherine Crabill among Republicans….right? I’m not so sure.

Keep in mind, the 99th House District Republicans nominated her to run against Albert Pollard last year, even after it became well-known that Crabill blames the government, not Timothy McVeigh, for the Oklahoma City bombing. And what did they get in return for this supposedly disastrous decision? By FAR the closest reelection race Pollard has ever faced! (even though Deeds’ god-awful performance had a little something to do with it)

OK. So, Republicans have to choose between Wittman and Crabill. Well, who is the typical Republican? A new Harris poll revealed what many other similar polls have indicated over the past year. And that is this: Catherine Crabill is the rule, not the exception. I see Marc went over this in a previous post, but here it is again:

  • 24% of Republicans say that Obama “may be the Antichrist.”
  • 38% of Republicans say that Obama is “doing many of the things that Hitler did.”
  • 45% of Republicans believe that Obama was “not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president.”
  • 57% of Republicans believe that Obama is a Muslim.
  • 67% of Republicans believe that Obama is a socialist.

And keep in mind that this is a poll of Republicans nationwide. The 1st CD in Virginia is much more conservative than the country as a whole.

Think Crabill can’t beat Wittman? Think again.

Catherine Crabill Collecting Signatures in 1st Congressional District

Why not? Republicans voted for her in droves last November, which throws Kool-Aid water on Virginia Virtucon‘s claim that she only appeals to the conspiracy theory crowd. She won Caroline and King George County, and only lost Northumberland County (site of her now famous “Bullet Box” speech) by a single vote!

In a letter to Allen Webb discussing her decision, Catherine Crabill begins:

I have started collecting signatures to run against Rob Wittman for the Republican Nomination. I was asked by three different people to consider it and I said I would have to seek the Lord’s Will about it. The Lord has sent His confirmation with many signs and wonders, so I have the peace I needed to pursue it. Why? You might ask. The primary reason is Wittman’s complete lack of character, leadership, and willingness to stand up and fight for our nation. His go-along-to-get-along position within the Republican party is evidenced by what he did to me last year.

Three people? Wow! That was the easiest “draft” movement in American political history. Catherine, consider me #4.

Del. Pollard Named to McDonnell Transition Advisory Group

Del. Albert Pollard (D-99) did his part. He endorsed Creigh Deeds for Governor prior to the Democratic primary in June and appeared with him at multiple events in Fredericksburg and the Northern Neck. But the dust has settled and the voters of the 99th district have spoken: Pollard for Delegate and McDonnell for Governor.

Pollard, who has a lifetime 96% rating from the Virginia League of Conservation Voters and is a recipient of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Legislator of the Year award, has been named to Bob McDonnell’s Transition Team Advisory Group for Natural Resources.

Delegate Albert C. Pollard, Jr., was recently appointed to Governor-elect McDonnell’s Transition Team Advisory Group for Natural Resources.

The news which first appeared on the Washington Post website is an effort of the incoming administration’s efforts to reach across the aisle.

“It’s an honor to be appointed to Governor-elect McDonnell’s transition team,” said Pollard. “At this point in our nation’s history, we cannot waste time with petty partisan politics. Future generations will not care if the Chesapeake Bay was cleaned by one party or another – only that the job was done.”

Now maybe Speaker Howell will wise up and put Pollard on the Agriculture, Chesapeake, and Natural Resources Committee where he belongs?

Scott Robinson Discusses President’s Big Afghanistan Speech with U.S. News & World Report

On U.S. News & World Report’s Thomas Jefferson Street blog, progressive communications and political strategist Julia Piscatelli got some insight on the President’s Afghanistan speech from an old friend of hers, Scott Robinson. A retired Army Colonel, Scott’s running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s 1st congressional district in 2010.

Robinson:

“I think what we heard in the president’s speech is some hard cold facts about the world we live in. I know it is easy for people on both sides to live in the moment of this and look at it purely through political lenses, but we need to be more measured than that. I think that the president found a balanced approach with his plan. He addressed the Afghanistan government, the military surge and Pakistan.”

The Northumberland County native served as a Senior Military Advisor to the Secretary of Defense before retiring this past summer after serving his country for 25 years.

In her blog post, Piscatelli concludes:

Just as I always felt better knowing that people of his caliber were in the Pentagon and other posts around the globe before and after 9-11, I also feel better knowing that as a citizen, he said he will be watching very closely.
